Above Virupaksha Temple - Hampi  [1 of 40]

The structures at Hampi are built mostly out of sandstone and granite. The temple at Virupaksha in the background stands over 160ft, while this stone monolith is around 20 ft tall. The ground is actually one single very large piece of sandstone reportedly several kilometers in size.
